about bookthingys

I designed the first bookthingy several years ago to cover and carry my Harry Potter book.  I was annoyed with how the paper dust jacket got in the way of my reading, so I decided to make my own cover.  I folded a paper bag book cover and taped handles to the inside.  When I went to work with it, people asked me where I got my cool book cover.  I learned to sew, and devised a way to make my book cover adjustable to different size books.   I received the patent for my booklover bookcover™ in 2009.

After launching the booklover, customers began asking about bookthingys for their Kindle.  Now Kindles are competing with Nooks, Ipads, and other e-readers, so  I designed the E-book travel bag to fit them all.  I carry my netbook in the large pocket and use the front pocket as my purse.   I also use the belt feature to clip the bag around my waist when I walk my dogs.   It has become my everyday bag, and I’m very excited to introduce it to you.
